Kiley Chen-lu Cao is a design portfolio specialist and clinical case manager at Brandnew Consulting Group—Shanghai. She supports art and design applicants through structured portfolio development, studio-style critique, and coordinated application planning, ensuring each student’s work is original, well-documented, and aligned with program briefs and evaluation rubrics. Her practice emphasizes process transparency and professional standards—from iterative concept development to final presentation and submission quality control.
Kiley holds a BFA from Kendall College of Art and Design (Michigan, USA). Her jewelry work received the 2018 A’ Design Award, and during her U.S. studies she earned five scholarships and presented in multiple juried exhibitions. Following graduation, she joined a U.S.–listed company and has since collaborated with several publicly traded firms, translating studio craft into market-ready outcomes and bringing an industry lens to portfolio expectations.
At Brandnew Group, Kiley integrates human-centered design methods with the group’s healthcare-inspired model of coordinated care. She helps applicants articulate intent, document process, and calibrate submissions to institution-specific criteria, while maintaining ethical boundaries that prioritize original student work. Her goal is straightforward: reduce variability in portfolio quality, improve admissibility, and give students clear, confidence-building pathways from concept to submission.
